Description
We study the $D^0\bar{D}^{*0}$ momentum correlation function to clarify the near-threshold structure of $X(3872)$. The $D\bar{D}^*$ interaction is described by a Yamaguchi-type separable potential that includes an effective contribution from a $c\bar{c}$ core. The parameters are fixed to reproduce the observed $X(3872)$ mass. When the pole lies extremely close to the $D^0\bar{D}^{*0}$ threshold, the correlation function in the $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ channel becomes very large at small relative momentum. Bound-state and virtual-state poles near threshold give very similar correlations. Despite the extremely small observed width of the X(3872), its effect on the correlation function is significant. In contrast, the $J^{PC}=1^{+-}$ channel related to $Z_c(3900)$ shows a much smaller correlation, and the effect of the charged $D^+D^{*-}$ channel is modest in the diagonal $D^0\bar{D}^{*0}$ correlation.
