If you need visa write in advance to org.committee to organize visa support.
On the Uzbekistan border you will be given two exemplars of custom declaration. You should fill them and give one exemplar to a customs officer. The second exemplar you should keep during the whole stay in Uzbekistan and show at the border on the way back. According to the custom regulations the money you bring to Uzbekistan must be more than money taking out from Uzbekistan.
Please, inform us also about your travel details for the planning transportation from and to the airport.
In order to organize Visa Support we need the following information from you:
(i) the Visa Support Form (ask workshop organisers);
(ii) a passport copy (a page with photo and personal data);
(iii) a copy of a stamped certificate of current employment (e.g. from a Personnel Department of your University).
Participants do not apply for a visa until we inform them about visa support status. If there is no Uzbekistan Embassy/Consulate in your country, they can obtain visa in Tashkent airport on your arrival.

Please, read there carefully the visa regulations corresponding to your country:
- your country may belong to visa free countries (90 days maximum stay);
- your country may belong to limited time (up to 30 days or 60 days) visa free countries;
- your country may belong to the class of visa procedure simplified countries (then applying for tourist visa may be more appropriate for you - cheaper, easier and faster);

You can find also information about the citizens of more that 100 countries who can stay without visa during the short period (up to 5 days) if they transiting to the 3rd country after stay in Uzbekistan. They must have the corresponding air ticket. If you coming under this scheme, please, be sure that your air-company collaborating with border control of Uzbekistan and your name is in the list. Otherwise one may have trouble at the border of Uzbekistan. For the moment Uzbekistan airlines definitely collaborating with border control and few other companies (which you have to clarify when you purchasing ticket).
